Ratings: “KC Undercover” Viewership Surges Despite “SNL 40”

While many programs struggled in the face of competition from NBC’s “SNL 40” special, Disney’s “KC Undercover” enjoyed a week-over-week uptick.

Sunday’s episode drew a 0.43 adults 18-49 rating with 2.76 million viewers. Disney’s top-rated and most-watched original program Sunday night, the episode bested the previous week’s installment (0.35 adults 18-49 rating with 2.22 million) in both regards.

The episode also enjoyed a gain in females 12-34 (1.49 this week versus a 1.29 last week). It narrowly bested last week’s adults 18-34 rating (0.38 this week vs. a 0.37 last week).

Assistance potentially came from a change in the episode’s lead-in. Instead of airing out of “Austin & Ally,” this week’s “KC” received a boost from “Liv and Maddie.”

Disney’s other Sunday programs:

Austin & Ally – 0.31 adults 18-49 rating, 0.98 females 12-34 rating, 0.26 adults 18-34 rating, 2.35 million viewers

Live and Maddie – 0.34 adults 18-49 rating, 1.15 females 1-234 rating, 0.29 adults 18-34 rating, 2.53 million viewers
