Taylor Swift’s “Style” is the Greatest Gainer at Pop, Hot AC Radio

Its video might not have received the desired acclaim, but Taylor Swift’s “Style” remains a red-hot member of the music community.

The song represents the week’s greatest airplay gainer at the pop and hot adult contemporary formats.

According to Mediabase’s official weekly airplay chart, the song lifts to #6 at pop radio on the strength of the 10,156 spins it received during the February 8-14 tracking week. Enough for a four position rise on this week’s chart, the weekly spin total bests last week’s count by 2,202. No other pop song enjoyed a gain of that magnitude.

The song meanwhile rises to #14 at Hot AC radio. Its weekly spin count of 3,006, which facilitates a two position rise on the chart, was driven by a week-over-week gain of 608. That gain, too, was the greatest at the format.

This week’s other notable pop risers include Maroon 5’s #10 “Sugar” (+1606), Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney’s #13 “FourFiveSeconds” (+1,464), Tori Kelly’s #34 “Nobody Love” (~+1,282) and Ariana Grande’s #28 “One Last Time” (+1,264).

Other notable Hot AC risers include Ellie Goulding’s #18 “Love Me Like You Do” (+593), Maroon 5’s #8 “Sugar” (+592), Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s #25 “FourFiveSeconds” (+364) and Walk The Moon’s #23 “Shut Up and Dance” (+351).

Taylor Swift’s “Style” is also a Top 30 hit at adult contemporary radio and a Top 40 hit at rhythmic radio.

“Style” follows “Shake it Off” and “Blank Space” as the third single from Swift’s “1989.”
