TBS Officially Cancels Ground Floor; Tuesday’s Episode Was Series Finale

Two weeks ago, rumors emerged that TBS had decided to pull the plug on “Ground Floor.”

While TBS denied the stories and only referred to this past Tuesday’s episode as the “last new episode of the [second] season,” sources within television maintained that the episode was to serve as a series finale. Tweets from cast members, which included derivations of the “farewell” concept rather than the “until next year” concept, did little to discourage the proliferation of the cancellation rumor.

Sure enough, the report is now official. TBS decided not to renew “Ground Floor” for a third season.

That means TBS has dropped every existing live action comedy from its lineup. While “American Dad” has been renewed, “Men at Work,” “Sullivan & Son,” “Cougar Town” and now “Ground Floor are all gone.

TBS will, however, attempt to launch new comedies “Buzzy’s,” “Your Family or Mine” and “Angie Tribeca.”
