Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” Hits #1 on Hot Country Songs

Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” is officially America’s hottest country song.

The track, which serves as a follow-up to Hunt’s breakthrough #1 hit “Leave the Night On,” rises to the #1 spot on Billboard’s all-encompassing Hot Country Songs chart. It was #5 on last week’s listing.

The jump to #1 on Hot Country comes in conjunction with a rise to #42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Still rising, “Take Your Time” aims to match or exceed the #30 peak achieved by “Night.”

“Take Your Time” is thus far enjoying particular success when it comes to sales and streaming. It ranks at #1 on this week’s Country Digital Songs listing and #2 on Country Streaming Songs.

Insofar as it is currently #19 on Country Airplay–and rising–“Take Your Time” is due to add to its overall score in the coming weeks. That provides optimism about its ability to enjoy a lengthy reign atop Hot Country.
