Grammys: Taylor Swift, Kanye West Shake Hands at Sunday’s Show

Upon learning that Beck–not presumed favorite Beyonce (or fellow presumed favorite Sam Smith)–won the Grammy for Album of the Year, Kanye West teased a flashback to an infamous moment at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

That moment saw West, upon learning that Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me” bested Beyonce’s iconic “Single Ladies” video for Best Female Video, rush the stage, snatch the microphone and declare that Beyonce had the best video of all time.

As soon as West approached Beck on stage, the joking reference to his past transgression was made. He laughed it off, sat back down and the audience watched as Beck celebrated his victory.

That encounter between Taylor Swift and Kanye West also came up in another context — when the two interacted at Sundays event.

Their encounter appears to have been a positive one; photos (seen below) show the duo shaking hands on two occasions.
