Grammys: St. Vincent Wins for Alternative Music Album

The Grammys race for Alternative Music Album is always an interesting one.

This year’s battle fell in favor of St. Vincent.

The buzzworthy musician, who received the chance to perform songs from her self-titled album on last year’s “Saturday Night Live” finale, walked away with the Grammy for Alternative Music Album at Sunday afternoon’s ceremony.

St. Vincent’s album beat out releases from alt-J, Jack White, Cage the Elephant and Arcade Fire.

In short, it was a stacked category, and St. Vincent emerged victorious.
