Hot 100: Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do,” Flo Rida’s “GDFR” Go Top 40

After debuting within the top fifty last week, Ellie Goulding’s new “Love Me Like You Do” is already a top 40 hit on Billboard’s all-encompassing Hot 100.

In its second week on the chart, the “50 Shades of Grey” soundtrack tune vaults nine places to #36. It becomes Goulding’s third top 40 hit as a lead artist (following “Lights” and “Burn”) and fourth overall (Calvin Harris’ “I Need Your Love,” on which she was featured, went as high as #16).

Other Top 40 newcomers include Kelly Clarkson’s debuting “Heartbeat Song” and Flo Rida’s “GDFR (featuring Sage the Gemini and Lookas).”

The former starts its run at #37, while the latter rises eleven places to #38.
