Ratings: ABC’s “Agent Carter” Outdraws Recent “Agents of SHIELD” Episodes

Inevitable given the extent to which ABC’s “Agents of SHIELD” has cooled, Tuesday’s two-hour “Agent Carter” delivered modest ratings.

The episode, which aired from 8-10PM, averaged a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating with 6.86 million viewers. After opening with a 2.0 and 7.43 million in the 8PM hour, it settled for a 1.8 and 6.30 million at 9PM.

Positive about the performance, however, is the fact that its audience average exceeded that drawn by every “Agents of SHIELD” broadcast this season. The last “SHIELD” to draw an audience of more than 6.86 million aired on November 26, 2013.

As far as the adults 18-49 demo goes, the last “Agents of SHIELD” to draw better than a 1.9 was the season two premiere. That episode, which aired on September 23, 2014, drew a 2.1.
