5 Seconds of Summer, Usher, Calvin Harris, Becky G Enter Pop’s Top 40

5SOS [NBC]

Mediabase’s official pop radio airplay welcomes four additions to its top forty this week.

Making the strongest mark is 5 Seconds of Summer’s “What I Like About You.” Having already reached the top forty on rolling editions of the Mediabase pop chart, the song this week cements its position on the official listing. The recipient of 1,402 spins during the December 28-January 3 tracking period, it commands the #35 spot.

Usher’s “I Don’t Mind (featuring Juicy J)” also makes the leap this week. After registering at #43 on the official chart last week, the track rockets to #36 on the strength of the 1,102 spins it received during the December 28-January 3 tracking week.

Becky G’s “Can’t Stop Dancin’,” which debuted on this week’s Hot 100, also arrives in the pop top forty this week. It scores the #38 position on the strength of its 898 weekly spins.

Also new to the mix is Calvin Harris’ “Outside (featuring Ellie Goulding).” Aspiring to follow in the top five footsteps of Harris’ most recent single “Blame (featuring John Newman)” and previous Goulding collaboration “I Need Your Love,” the song lands at #39 courtesy its 870 tracking week plays.
