Ed Sheeran Goes Top 40 at Pop On Hoodie’s “All About It,” His Own “Thinking”

Two of the three additions to pop radio’s official top forty involve Ed Sheeran.

One, Hoodie Allen’s “All About It,” credits Sheeran as a featured artist. The recipient of 1,243 weekly spins, it claims the #39 position on Mediabase’s official pop radio airplay chart.

The other, his own “Thinking Out Loud,” rises eleven places to #40 this week. Already It received 1,159 spins during the December 7-13 tracking week.

Neither charts as highly as James Newton Howard’s “The Hanging Tree (featuring Jennifer Lawrence),” which surges to #35 this week, but insofar as the songs involve an artist who still has a Top 5 pop hit in “Don’t,” their placements on the pop radio chart are impressive.

Both are also making waves at other radio formats. Hoodie Allen’s “All About It,” which was named an iHeartRadio “On the Verge” song, is at #41 on the weekly rhythmic airplay chart, while Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” is up to #12 at hot adult contemporary radio and #49 at adult contemporary.
