Two alternative crossovers make moves on the weekly hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

Hozier’s “Take Me to Church,” which continues to hold the #2 spot at the alternative format and just hopped into the top ten at pop radio, claims #5 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase Hot AC airplay chart. The song’s #5 position is owed to the 4,767 spins it received during the December 7-13 tracking week.

Vance Joy’s “Riptide,” which reached #1 at alternative earlier this year, hops to #10 on the Hot AC listing. Its #10 position comes courtesy the 3,246 plays it commanded this week.

Other movers at Hot AC:

— Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” rises to #12 thanks to the format’s second-largest weekly spin gain (+523 to 2,613 weekly plays).

— Meghan Trainor’s “Lips are Movin” hits #18 with help from Hot AC’s third-largest weekly gain (+507 to 1,788 weekly plays). Ingrid Michaelson’s “Afterlife” and Imagine Dragons’ “I Bet My Life” also reach the top twenty at #19 and #20, respectively.

— Nick Jonas’ “Jealous,” Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” and Matt Nathanson’s “Headphones (featuring LOLO)” reach the top twenty five at #21, #22 and #25, respectively.

— Big Data’s “Dangerous (featuring Joywave),” Sheppard’s “Geronimo” and Ariana Grande & The Weeknd’s “Love Me Harder” enter the Top 30 at #28, #29 and #30, respectively.

— Selena Gomez’ “The Heart Wants What it Wants,” James Newton Howard’s “The Hanging Tree (featuring Jennifer Lawrence),” U2’s “Every Breaking Wave” and Christina Perri’s “The Words” enter the top 40 at #31, #35, #38 and #40, respectively.
