Ratings: “The Vampire Diaries” Up, “Reign” Hits Season High Viewership (Updated)

Update: After slipping to a series low in viewership last week, “The Vampire Diaries” rebounded with one of its best performances of the season this week.

Thursday’s episode drew a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with 1.82 million viewers. Of the the eight previous installments to air this year, only the October 16 episode, which drew a 0.9 rating and 1.83 million viewers, performed better.

Lead-out “Reign,” meanwhile, drew a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating with 1.42 million viewers. Up from last week’s 0.4 with 1.22 million, the performance includes the show’s best viewership mark of the season.

Based on fast national ratings data, The CW’s Thursday portrait looks better this week than it did last week.

“The Vampire Diaries” bounced back from its soft December 4 performance, while “Reign” extended last week’s improvement–and reached a season high viewership mark.

“The Vampire Diaries,” enjoyed a lift to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating with 1.80 million viewers. Last week’s episode delivered a 0.7 rating with a series low viewership average of 1.49 million.

Airing in the 9PM hour, “Reign” drew a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating with 1.42 million viewers. Up from last week’s 0.4 with 1.22 million, the performance features the best viewership total drawn this season.
