Bleachers’ “Rollercoaster,” BANKS’ “Beggin for Thread” Go Top 15 at Alternative

One is a Bruce Springsteen-inspired follow-up to a format #1. One is a recent iHeartRadio “On the Verge” selection. Both songs hop into the top fifteen at alternative radio this week.

Bleachers’ “Rollercoaster,” the former, rises three places to #13 on Mediabase’s official alternative airplay chart. The follow-up to “I Wanna Get Better” makes the leap courtesy the 1,179 spins (+96) it received during the November 23-29 tracking week.

BANKS’ “Beggin for Thread,” which is the aforementioned “On the Verge” song, continues its upward run at the format. Also up three places, it grabs the #14 slot thanks to 1,077 weekly spins (+20).

— The sole new addition to the top twenty this week is BUSH’s “The Only Way Out.” It jumps three places to #18.

— Catfish and The Bottlemen’s “Kathleen” leaps five places to #23.

— The Kooks’ “Bad Habit,” Rise Against’s “Tragedy + Time” and TV on the Radio’s “Happy Idiot” reach the top thirty at #28, #29 and #30, respectively. “Bad Habit” rises three places this week, while the latter two tracks improve their positions by 4.

— Linkin Park’s “Final Masquerade” and Weezer’s “Da Vinci” debut in the top 40 at #36 and #39, respectively.
