One Direction’s “Night Changes,” Ella Henderson’s “Ghost” Go Top 30 at Pop

Not merely enough for a debut in the pop top 40 this week, the spin count for One Direction’s “Night Changes” officially ranks as one of the format’s thirty largest.

1D’s new single grabs the #29 place on Mediabase’s official pop radio airplay chart. The song, which was the format’s third-greatest airplay gainer (+1,121 spins), claims #29 on the strength of 2,038 plays during the November 23-29 tracking week. It was #42 on last week’s chart.

Also new to the top thirty this week is Ella Henderson’s “Ghost.” Slowly but surely making its way up the pop chart, the international hit grabs the #30 slot courtesy the 1,969 pop spins it received this week.

“Ghost” is meanwhile #16 at hot adult contemporary radio, where it has been receiving a boost from the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program.
