Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” is One of Pop’s 5 Most-Played

The march to #1 continues for Taylor Swift’s blockbuster “Blank Space.”

Already a multi-week #1 on the all-encompassing Hot 100, the song rises to #5 on the latest edition of Mediabase’s rolling pop radio airplay chart. It claims that position on the strength of the 12,041 spins it received during the seven days between November 21 and November 27.

Still enjoying the format’s greatest daily and weekly airplay gains, “Blank Space” will have no trouble holding onto its #5 position through Sunday, which is when Mediabase releases its official weekly chart.

Currently ahead of “Blank Space” on the pop airplay chart are Maroon 5’s #1 “Animals” (17,312 spins between 11/21-27), Ed Sheeran’s #2 “Don’t” (15,472), Tove Lo’s #3 “Habits (Stay High)” (14,441) and Calvin Harris’ #4 “Blame (featuring John Newman)” (13,318).

— A multi-format hit, “Blank Space” is meanwhile #7 at hot adult contemporary radio, #29 at adult contemporary radio and #32 at rhythmic radio.
