Keith Urban, Maddie & Tae Have Country Radio’s Most-Played Songs

Already #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, Keith Urban’s “Somewhere in My Car” is poised to also reach the apex of the Mediabase country chart.

After serving as runner-up to Little Big Town’s “Day Drinking” last week, “Car” has spent the past few days as the Mediabase country panel’s most-played song. It claims #1 on Friday’s rolling chart courtesy the 7,843 spins it received during the tracked November 21-27 period.

Urban’s tune should have no trouble holding its lead through the release of Mediabase’s official chart on Sunday evening.

Destined for the week’s #2 position is Maddie & Tae’s debut single “Girl in a Country Song.” Played 7,455 times during the aforementioned seven day period, the track was the country format’s second-most-played song. It should claim the #2 position on Sunday’s official chart before potentially making a run for the top spot.

The aforementioned “Day Drinking” is currently third on the rolling chart (7,153 weekly spins), while Tim McGraw’s “Shotgun Rider” (6,634 spins) and Brad Paisley’s “Perfect Storm” (6,411) claim the final two top five slots.
