Single Sales: Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor Claim Two Top Tens Each

The top ten for this week’s Billboard Digital Songs chart is official, and it offers 40% of its real estate to Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor.

Courtesy “Blank Space” (302,000 weekly paid downloads) and “Shake it Off” (83,000), Swift claims the #1 and #8 positions, respectively. Trainor grabs #4 via “All About That Bass” (106,000) and #10 thanks to “Lips are Movin” (69,000).

Still impressive, Swift’s presence is actually weaker than that of last week. Her two singles were both in the top five on the previous week’s Digital Songs chart.

Special in that it gives Trainor a second top ten presence, “Lips are Movin” is not the only song to enter that portion of the single sales chart this week. Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” vaults to #3 with 111,000 weekly sales, while Mr Probz’ “Waves” notches its first top ten position (#9) via 71,000.

Other top ten members: 2 – Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” (176,000), 5 – Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One” (99,000), 6 – Maroon 5’s “Animals” (96,000), 7 – Nick Jonas’ “Jealous” (90,000).
