Ratings: Both “The Voice” Episodes Fall; Tuesday Drop Comes Despite Taylor Swift

“The Voice” coach Blake Shelton called Monday’s episode the best live performance show in the series’ history, but it did not draw ratings befitting that esteem.

In fact, it was the least-watched Monday performance show on record.

According to final broadcast data, Monday’s “The Voice” drew a soft 2.6 adults 18-49 rating with 9.60 million viewers. The figures trailed those of last week’s broadcast by 16% and 14%, respectively.

The situation did not improve Tuesday. Fast national data reveals that the results show garnered a mere 2.3 with 9.18 million viewers. The lowest-rated original of the season (and actually on par with or weaker than the two clip shows that aired this season), the episode was, pending adjustments in the final ratings report, down 15% in both adults 18-49 and viewers from last week’s episode.

Monday’s episode featured appearances by guest mentors Christina Aguilera, Diana Ross, Colbie Caillat and Patrick Stump. Tuesday’s featured a live rendition of “Blank Space” by TaylorSwift.
