One Direction is Most-Added at Pop Radio, Fifth Harmony Closely Follows

While neither act scored its greatest number of weekly pickups, both landed at a new high on the weekly pop radio add board.

Mediabase confirms that One Direction’s “Night Changes” and Fifth Harmony’s “Sledgehammer” were the week’s most- and second-most-added songs, respectively.

“Night Changes,” which was in the #2 slot last week, tops the add board with 38 monitored pop pickups. Fifth Harmony follows closely with 35 pop adds.

Not restricted to the weekly adds report, each song’s pop appeal is also manifesting on the airplay chart. Per Tuesday’s rolling edition of the listing, Fifth Harmony’s “Sledgehammer” is the format’s #33 song, while One Direction’s “Night Changes” is #36. Both songs are sure to continue climbing.

Ariana Grande’s Christmas release “Santa Tell Me” registers as third-most-added with 29 monitored pickups, while Selena Gomez’ rolling top twenty hit “The Heart Wants What it Wants” earns another 26 this week. OneRepublic’s “I Lived” claims fifth-most-added on the strength of 18 monitored pickups.
