Garth Brooks’ new single “Mom,” which represents an opportunity to erase the memory of “People Loving People” and prove the country icon can still launch a radio hit, arrives as the country format’s most-added song.

According to Mediabase, the track from Brooks’ album “Man Against Machine” scores 51 monitored adds this week. The solid support indeed gives Brooks’ track an opportunity to garner airplay and make a statement of relevancy at country radio.

A full add report is due Monday evening. Country fans should look for Sam Hunt’s new single “Take Your Time” to register as the format’s second-most-added track.
