Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” is the Greatest Gainer at Pop, Hot AC

Week three was another successful one for Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” which rockets into the top fifteen at pop radio and top twenty at hot adult contemporary radio on the strength of the formats’ largest spin gains.

Up by a whopping 2,618 spins this week, “Blank Space” claims #13 on Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart (a position that will be made official by 9:30PM ET Sunday). It amassed 8,094 spins during the November 9-15 tracking period.

The “Shake it Off” follow-up also did damage at the Hot AC format, where it added an impressive 1,156 spins to its weekly count. Its November 9-15 total of 2,192 was the week’s 16th-largest at Hot AC.

Other big pop gainers this week included Mark Ronson’s new #28 “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” (+2,465 spins), Maroon 5’s new #1 “Animals” (+2,099 spins), Ed Sheeran’s #3 “Don’t (+1,731 spins) and Mr Probz’ #7 “Waves” (+1,218 spins).

Notable Hot AC movers included Maroon 5’s #2 “Animals” (+714 spins), Hozier’s #13 “Take Me to Church” (657 spins), Tove Lo’s #6 “Habits (Stay High)” (+575 spins) and Sam Smith’s #10 “I’m Not the Only One” (+314 spins).
