Imagine Dragons’ “I Bet My Life” Repeats as Alternative’s Most-Added

Already starting to crossover onto the hot adult contemporary and pop formats, Imagine Dragons’ new single “I Bet My Life” remains immensely appealing to alternative programmers.

The song, which serves as the lead single from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, repeats as most-added at the alternative format this week. Mediabase says the song, which landed at eighteen stations in conjunction with last week’s official impact, scored support from a whopping 27 monitored alternative stations this week.

No other song scored even a quarter of that support this week.

Yelawolf’s “Till it’s Gone,” the format’s next-most-added track, arrived at 6 stations. Catfish and the Bottlemen’s “Kathleen” and Rise Against’s “Tragedy + Time” shared third-most-added honors with 5 adds each, while BANKS’ “Beggin for Thread,” Dirty Heads’ “Sound of Change,” George Ezra’s “Budapest,” Royal Blood’s “Figure it Out,” Smashing Pumpkins’ “Being Beige” and Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” each received support from 4 new stations this week.

In addition to the new alternative pickups, “I Bet My Life” scored 13 monitored adds at Hot AC and 6 at pop this week.
