Hot 100: Imagine Dragons’ “Life” Debuts at #53, Ella Henderson Opens at #75

She was responsible for four Hot 100 debuts this week, including #18 entry “Blank Space,” but Taylor Swift was not the only act to launch music on the all-encompassing Billboard chart.

The week’s next biggest arrival comes courtesy Imagine Dragons. “I Bet My Life,” the lead single from the band’s forthcoming second album, begins its run at #53.

Nicki Minaj’s “Only (featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown)” follows closely at #54. Like the Imagine Dragons song, it first became available last week and owes its favorable Hot 100 position to an early sales rush.

OK Go’s new “I Won’t Let You Down” begins its run at #71, while Ella Henderson’s “Ghost” finally enters the chart at #75. The latter, which hit #1 in the UK, is finally gaining US traction thanks to support from iHeartRadio’s “On the Verge” program (at Hot AC) and high-profile television performances.

Florida Georgia Line’s “Sun Daze,” which previously charted in conjunction with its launch as an instant gratification track, re-enters at #92. Kenny Chesney’s “Til It’s Gone” debuts at #100.
