Tove Lo’s “Habits” Climbs to #1 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay Chart

Tove Lo’s breakthrough single “Habits (Stay High)” will have to wait until later this week to formally claim its #1 distinction on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The Billboard chart tells a different story. The blockbuster single rises to #1 on this week’s edition of the Billboard Pop Songs chart.

“Habits (Stay High),” which surges four places on this week’s Billboard listing, takes over for Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off.” As it did on Mediabase’s chart, that song spent two non-consecutive weeks at #1 on Pop Songs.

By rising to #1 on this week’s edition of the Billboard Pop Songs chart, “Habits” blocks Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang” from reaching the listing’s apex. By the time “Habits” is ready to cede its throne, “Bang Bang” will have already begun its decline.
