Hot 100: Mr Probz’ “Waves,” Nick Jonas’ “Jealous” Go Top 40

High-profile debuts from One Direction and Carrie Underwood are not the only additions to the top forty of the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

The iconic portion of music’s most important single track chart also welcomes two songs that have been soaring at the pop radio format.

Per Billboard, Mr Probz’ international breakthrough “Waves” rises to #39 on the all-encompassing Hot 100. Now in its seventh week on the chart, “Waves” rises four spots from last week’s position.

The beneficiary of iHeartRadio’s “On the Verge” program and buzz from Jonas’ viral re-creation of Mark Wahlberg’s risque Calvin Klein underwear shoot, “Jealous” rises eighteen places to claim the #40 slot on this week’s chart. The song becomes Nick Jonas’ first non-Jonas Brothers song to reach the top 40.
