Ratings Update: “Once Upon a Time,” “Resurrection” Boosted in Finals

Update 2: While ABC’s dramas indeed fell in the ratings this week, their actual declines were not as significant as those portrayed in the fast nationals.

As has become the norm for ABC this season, the shows were all adjusted up in the finals.

8PM drama “Once Upon a Time” settled at a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating with 9.24 million viewers.  Lead-out “Resurrection” followed with a 2.0 and 6.74 million, while 10PM program “Revenge” posted a 1.4 with 5.27 million.

Update: After posting an impressive 3.7 adults 18-49 rating for last week’s season premiere, ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” slipped to a 3.1 this time.  Its viewership of 8.6 million trailed last week’s mark by 16%.

ABC then aired “Resurrection” (1.8, 6.2 million) and “Revenge” (1.3, 4.9 million).

It should be noted that ABC’s ratings have been subject to revision of abnormal frequency and significance in the finals this season.  This Sunday’s final broadcast ratings will go to print Tuesday morning.

==========

Not benefiting from a season premiere boost, ABC’s dramas all slipped in the overnight ratings this week.

The downturn began with 8PM entry “Once Upon a Time.” After posting a 5.5 overnight household rating last week, the network’s flagship Sunday drama delivered a 4.9 this go-around. Based on last week’s strong conversion in the adults 18-49 demographic, the 4.9, while down, still represents a solid number for the series.

Down a hefty 21% from last week’s season premiere, “Resurrection” posted a 3.8 overnight household rating at 9PM. “Revenge” then lost 13% to settle at a 3.4 in the 10PM hour.

Adults 18-49 and total viewership figures will be posted by noon.
