The Voice’s James David Carter, Taylor John Williams Chart on iTunes

The season premiere of NBC’s “The Voice” was a successful one for those with three part names.

James David Carter and Taylor John Williams, who advanced during their respective blind auditions Monday, are both charting on iTunes in the wake of the episode.

Carter’s rendition of “Nobody Knows,” which Blake Shelton argued was the best country audition ever on the show, is currently #67 on the digital retailer’s all-genre sales chart.

In the wake of that performance, Kevin Sharp’s 1996 cover of the song, which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, is up to #125. The Tony Rich Project’s original version is #143.

Williams, meanwhile, is charting at #94 with his stripped rendition of Kanye West’s “Heartless.” The West original is #272.

If one looks at the top 200 portion of the iTunes chart, he will also locate contestant Luke Wade, whose “That’s How Strong My Love Is” is presently #121.
