Bebe Rexha Goes Top 40 at Pop with “Drinking About You”

Unlike Lil Jon’s “Bend Ova (featuring Tyga)” and Rixton’s “Wait on Me,” Bebe Rexha’s single “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You” did not reach the Top 40 in time for Sunday’s official Mediabase report.

Like the Lil Jon and Rixton songs, the singer-songwriter’s solo release did, however, score a Top 40 position on Monday’s rolling pop radio airplay chart.

The chart confirms “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You” was pop radio’s 40th-most-played song during the Monday, September 1 – Sunday, September 7 tracking period. It garnered 872 spins and 2.73 million audience impressions during that window.

While Rexha’s tune might find its position under fire from Childish Gambino’s #41 “3005” in the coming days, it should be able to leapfrog Becky G’s #39 “Shower” by as early as tomorrow. That song, which received 916 spins within the September 1-7 window, is seeing its weekly airplay total decline at a rate of roughly 200 plays per day.

— The aforementioned “Bend Ova” and “Wait on Me” appear at #37 and #38, respectively, on Monday’s rolling airplay chart.
