Hot 100: Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj Claim Top Two Slots

Fueled by a monster opening week sales count, record-setting airplay and strong streaming numbers, Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” debuts at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Number one on Radio Songs, two on Streaming Songs and nine on Radio Songs, “Shake it Off” dominated en route to a #1 bow on the all-encompassing Hot 100. It represents Swift’s second career number one (after “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”) and first to debut in the slot.

Despite making gains in all relevant chart categories, Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” slips one spot to #3 on this week’s chart. Sliding into the runner-up position is Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda.”

Number one on Streaming Songs thanks to its racy, record-setting video, “Anaconda” enjoys a 37 position jump this week. Not yet on Billboard’s Radio Songs chart (though it did score a respectable 25 million audience impressions this week), “Anaconda” was #6 on Digital Songs.

In making the climb, “Anaconda” becomes Minaj’s eleventh top ten on the Hot 100.

Other Top 10 songs this week: Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” (#4), MAGIC!’s “Rude” (#5), Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora)” (#6), Ariana Grande’s “Break Free (featuring Zedd)” (#7), Sia’s “Chandelier” (#8), Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang” (#9) and Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” (#10).
