BANKS Performs “Beggin for Thread” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”

When approaching live, televised performances, most quirky musicians are forced to choose between remaining faithful to their reserved, artistic identities or actively engaging the audience.

BANKS is not most performers.

Vocally strong, BANKS’ “Jimmy Kimmel Live” rendition of “Beggin for Thread” managed to capture the singer-songwriter’s unique identity without keeping viewers at a distance.

Highlighted by her unusual stage presence and an escalation to a powerful vocal and emotional crescendo, the performance was both richly entertaining and irrefutably sincere.

It left no doubt regarding why BANKS, whose debut LP “Goddess” arrives in September, is a regular on “Artist to Watch” lists.

The video of that performance–and of BANKS’ live take on “Waiting Game,” which was not broadcast in its entirety–follows. It represents the singer-songwriter’s television debut.
