Hot 100: Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” Rises, MAGIC! Still Leads

Sam Smith’s breakthrough solo effort “Stay With Me” is now only one spot away from the top of Billboard’s Hot 100.

After a stint in the #3 position, the ballad reaches #2 on the latest edition of Billboard’s all-encompassing single track chart.

According to Billboard, it now trails MAGIC!’s reigning Hot 100 champion “Rude” by just 9 chart percentage points. If it continues to gain as “Rude” continues to slow, it could steal away the number one position in just one or two weeks.

The rise of “Stay with Me” continues the fall of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX).” That song dips to #3 on this week’s Hot 100.

Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” and Ariana Grande’s “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” remain in the #4 and #5 positions, respectively.

Grande’s “Bang Bang” collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj debuts at #6 this week. Maroon 5’s “Maps” follows at #7, while Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” rockets into the #8 spot.

Sia’s “Chandelier” and Disclosure’s “Latch (featuring Sam Smith)” land at #9 and #10, respectively.
