The Gaslight Anthem’s “Stay Vicious” Flies Into iTunes Top 10

It is not the band’s official single, but it is finding an audience nonetheless.

The song, for which audio debuted on YouTube Monday morning, surged into the Top 10 on the iTunes Overall Single Sales chart.

While it does not have enough momentum to remain in that illustrious portion of the chart–it was to be imminently leapfrogged by Charli XCX’s #11 “Boom Clap” and Becky G’s #12 “Shower”–it nonetheless serves as an impressive testament to the strength of the alt-rock band’s audience.

“Stay Vicious” is the opening track on the band’s new album “Get Hurt,” which hits shelves on August 24. The album is officially being promoted via the title single.
