MAGIC!’s “Rude” Hits #1 at Pop and Hot AC Radio

The number one song on Billboard’s Hot 100 is enjoying a very strong week at radio.

Earlier this week, MAGIC!’s “Rude” reached #1 on Mediabase’s rolling chart for the Hot Adult Contemporary format. The recipient of 6,552 Hot AC spins over the seven days ending July 23, “Rude” also scored a format-best 45.62 million audience impressions.

As of Thursday, it is also #1 on Mediabase’s rolling airplay chart for pop. Thanks to a week-to-week spin gain of 830, “Rude” finally charges past Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong,” which held number one for two weeks.

The song received 17,749 pop spins and 118.45 million pop audience impressions over the seven days ending July 23. “Am I Wrong” actually reached a stronger audience (119.27 million) in that window, but “Rude” will soon claim an advantage in that realm as well.

A multi-format smash, “Rude” is also #7 on the latest edition of Mediabase’s rolling rhythmic radio chart and #14 on its adult contemporary listing.
