Hot 100: Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap,” Iggy’s “Black Widow” Rise Again

Forced to watch their smash hit “Fancy” slip to number two last week, Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX received compensatory relief from the fact that their respective releases “Black Widow” and “Boom Clap” enjoyed gains on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Fancy” remains at #2 on this week’s chart, but that stagnation did not apply to “Black Widow” or “Boom Clap.”

Iggy’s “Black Widow,” which features Rita Ora, rises to a new peak of #45 on this week’s Hot 100. Thanks to rapidly rising airplay and digital sales, the song is expected to reach the Top 40 as early as next week.

Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap,” meanwhile, continues its push towards the Top 10. It reaches a new high of #14 on this week’s chart.
