Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ it Down” Surges to #1 on Sales Chart

Two weeks ago, country duo Florida Georgia Line rocketed to the top of iTunes with new single “Dirt.”

Jason Aldean just did the same with his new release “Burnin’ it Down.”

Co-written by Rodney Clawson, Chris Tompkins and Florida Georgia Line members Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelly, “Burnin’ It Down” reached #1 on iTunes’ overall single sales chart by the late-morning hours Tuesday.

Considering the fact that it only went live on iTunes at midnight, the ascent to number one on the chart, which relies on sales data from the trailing twenty four hours, is impressive.

It is unclear whether the song’s first-week sales figure will best the 182,000 mark posted by “Dirt.” It is abundantly clear, however, that Jason Aldean remains one of the strongest commercial forces in music.
