First Look: Florida Georgia Line Debuts “Dirt” on “The Tonight Show”

Rarely will an episode of NBC’s “The Tonight Show” feature a live rendition of the hottest-selling song in the country.

An even less common reality comes when that live rendition serves as the hot-selling song’s television debut.

And a near incomprehensible one is crafted when the performance comes on the night of the song’s official release.

All three, however, apply to Tuesday’s edition of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” which will feature the television debut of Florida Georgia Line’s new single “Dirt.”

Released Tuesday, the song quickly surged to #1 on the iTunes Single Sales chart. It might not be able to hold that position all week, but with the exposure from Tuesday’s “Tonight Show” performance still to take effect and the song’s country radio presence just beginning to materialize, it will certainly have assistance in maintaining its momentum.

Taped Tuesday afternoon, Florida Georgia Line’s performance comes at the end of the night’s “The Tonight Show” broadcast. Set to commence at 11:35PM ET on NBC, the episode also features appearances from Halle Berry and Chris Colfer.
