Chromeo’s “Jealous” Goes Top 40 at Pop; Demi Lovato Hits #15

In an update that will make other electro-funk and dance acts jealous, Chromeo’s new single has officially entered the Top 40 on Mediabase’s rolling pop radio airplay chart.

“Jealous (I Ain’t With It),” that single, becomes the duo’s first song to enter that illustrious portion of the chart.

Featured in the national television campaign for Johnny Appleseed Hard Cider, the song was pop radio’s 40th-most-played song over the seven days ending July 4. It scored 823 spins, which represented an increase of 180 over last week’s count.

“Jealous” garnered 2.97 million audience impressions as a result of that airplay.

Other notables on the latest rolling airplay chart:

— Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” is within striking distance of the #1 spot. As long as it continues its momentum (it is currently the format’s third-biggest-gainer), it should soon overtake Ariana Grande’s “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” as the number one song at pop radio.

— Demi Lovato’s “Really Don’t Care (featuring Cher Lloyd),” which officially entered the Top 20 last weekend, is already at #15. A top ten run appears likely.

— Per the earlier updates, Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap” enters the Top 20 on the latest chart. Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora)” joins the Chromeo tune in making the Top 40 ascent.
