The impact of Maroon 5’s new single “Maps” is not limited to Top 40 radio. For the second consecutive week, “Maps” received a scorching reception from Hot Adult Contemporary programmers.

After ranking as last week’s second-most-added track, Maroon 5’s new tune cruised to a dominant number one position this week. According to Mediabase, “Maps” earned pickups from 60 Hot AC stations to rank as the format’s most-added track this week.

Key stations to add the tune, which is already #15 on Mediabase’s rolling Hot AC airplay chart, included New York’s Fresh 102.7, Los Angeles’ 104.3 MYFM, Chicago’s 101.9 THE MIX and San Francisco’s Star 101.3.

Train’s “Angel in Blue Jeans,” last week’s most-added track, landed at another 28 stations this week. It was Hot AC’s second-most-added song.

Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars” followed in third with 11 adds, while American Authors’ “Believer” and Disclosure’s “Latch” shared fourth place with 10 adds apiece. One of the ten stations to add “Believer” was New York’s influential 95.5 PLJ.
