Paramore’s “Ain’t it Fun” Hits #2 at Top 40 Radio

The milestones keep coming for Paramore’s smash hit “Ain’t it Fun.”

The song, which earlier this year became the band’s first Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 (and later top 10), ascends to a new peak of #2 on Mediabase’s rolling Top 40 airplay chart.

“Ain’t it Fun” trails only Justin Timberlake’s declining “Not a Bad Thing” on the chart, which measures airplay at Top 40/pop radio for the seven days ending May 29.

While Iggy Azalea’s current #4 “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” appears poised to overtake the Paramore song before it can hit number one, the run has been career-defining regardless. Paramore had never previously cracked the top five at pop radio, and preceding single “Still Into You,” which peaked at #9, was the band’s only previous visit to the top ten.
