MAGIC!’s “Rude” Hits #4 on iTunes, AJR’s “I’m Ready” Goes Top 100

Noteworthy movement is occurring at both ends of the iTunes Top 100.

The uppermost portion is home to a continued ascent from MAGIC!’s breakthrough single “Rude,” which Monday advanced to #4 on the retailer’s overall single sales chart.

It joins Ariana Grande’s “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” (#1), Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” (#2), Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” (#3) and Pharrell’s “Happy” (#5) in the top five.

The song, which reached a new peak of #28 on last week’s Billboard Hot 100, is also enjoying a healthy run at radio. According to Mediabase, “Rude” was pop radio’s 21st-most-played song for the seven days ending May 25.

While “Rude” works its way to the top of the iTunes Top 100, another song recently worked its way into the chart. AJR’s “I’m Ready,” which recently reached a new peak of #31 on the aforementioned airplay chart, finally vaulted into the Top 100 on iTunes. As of Monday evening, it was #88 on the digital retailer’s sales chart.
