FOX’s “Gang Related” Starts Slowly in the Ratings

Update: “Gang Related” opened to a paltry 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with 2.99 million viewers. Its “Hell’s Kitchen” lead-in drew a 1.5 rating with 4.21 million viewers.

Not scheduled like a presumed hit, FOX’s “Gang Related” unsurprisingly failed to make waves in its debut Thursday.

The cop- and gang-themed drama opened its run to a soft 2.5 overnight household rating. While the adults 18-49 and total viewership numbers are required to make a full assessment, the 2.5 household number offers little optimism regarding its performance against those metrics.

“Hell’s Kitchen,” which led into “Gang Related,” delivered a 3.3 overnight household number. Last week’s episode, which drew a 3.4 in the overnights, ended up posting a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating with 4.86 million viewers in the final Nielsen ratings report.
