Hot 100: MAGIC!’s “Rude” Surges Into Top 40, “Am I Wrong” Goes Top 20

The upper reaches of the Billboard Hot 100 are getting a bit more “Rude.”

“Rude,” the breakthrough single from Canadian act MAGIC!, leaps twenty three places to a new peak of #39 on Billboard’s definitive single track chart. And insofar as it is still rapidly rising at radio and on iTunes, it will surely vault even higher on next week’s edition of the Hot 100.

While “Rude” enjoys its debut appearance in the Top 40, another pop breakthrough will celebrate a trip to the Top 20. “Am I Wrong,” the international sensation from Nico and Vinz, rises eight places to #18 in its fourth week on the Hot 100. Also a major mover on iTunes and at radio, the song stands a legitimate chance of reaching the Top 10 on a future edition of the Hot 100.

Also making its debut in the Top 20 (at #20) is Naughty Boy’s “La La La (featuring Sam Smith).” Disclosure’s “Latch,” another tune featuring vocals from Smith, rises eighteen places to #34.
