Cast Member Confirms ABC’s “Mixology” Was Cancelled

While ABC has yet to comment on the fate of its freshman comedy “Mixology,” a cast member has confirmed that it did not receive a second season.

“RIP #Mixology,” Tweeted the show’s Frankie Shaw. “Sad day. Love to all you #Mixology fans. Keep watching! Great episodes left, esp the finale. xoxoxoxo.”

Low-rated by any standards, “Mixology” was particularly condemned for its poor retention out of ABC’s flagship comedy “Modern Family.” This Wednesday’s episode retained just 45% of “Modern'”s adults 18-49 audience.

Of the comedies still technically on ABC’s bubble, neither “The Neighbors” nor “Suburgatory” is expected to return. Odds still favor a renewal for “Last Man Standing.”
