Matt Lanter, Aimee Teegarden Address “Star-Crossed” Cancellation

The pessimism outlook came to fruition Thursday when The CW decided not to renew low-rated freshman drama “Star-Crossed.”

A weak performer out of the gate, the drama garnered a passionate fanbase but failed to grow in the manner that would have been required. Its Monday night counterpart “The Tomorrow People” also felt the swing of the proverbial ax.

Responding to the cancellation, star Matt Lanter Tweeted, “I regretfully tell u that #Starcrossed will not be back for season 2. Love u all #Stargazers so much. Thanks for ur unwavering support!!

His co-star Aimee Teegarden added, “Beyond grateful & lucky 2 have worked W my amazing #StarCrossed cast on @CW_network Thank you to our wonderful fans! U guys rock my socks x.”

The show’s series finale airs Monday at 8PM.
