Routinely ridiculed for their declining ratings, both “Glee” and “American Idol” will have notable representation during FOX’s upcoming upfront festivities.

The network confirmed that “Glee” star Darren Criss and an “American Idol” finalist will be performing during the annual “Fanfront” event, which takes place in conjunction with FOX’s annual upfront presentation.

Set for May 12, the New York City-based event will also feature appearances by Andy Samberg, Mindy Kaling, Zooey Deschanel, Jane Lynch, Will Forte, David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel. Stars from AMERICAN IDOL XIII, BONES, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, THE FOLLOWING, GLEE, NEW GIRL, THE MINDY PROJECTT, HIEROGLYPH, GRACEPOINT, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH and MULANEY will walk the red carpet.

“Fans will be treated to musical performances, lots of cool swag, as well as a sneak peek at the new shows coming to FOX this fall,” says FOX, which asks them to RSVP by May 8. To do so, they must email and await further confirmation on the time and location.
