Pharrell’s “Happy” Holds at #1, Chris Brown’s “Loyal” Goes Top Ten

Boosted by the explosion of fan-made videos, which count towards its streaming total, Pharrell’s “Happy” claims a ninth week atop the Billboard Hot 100.

Number one on Billboard’s Radio Songs, Streaming Songs and Digital Songs (sales) and number two on On-Demand Songs, the dominant Pharrell track forces John Legend’s “All of Me” to settle for number two on the Hot 100.

The streams, in fact, help give “Happy” a wider margin of victory than it held last week. After earning 12% more chart points than the Legend song last week, “Happy” claims a lead of 16% this frame.

Jason DeRulo’s “Talk Dirty (featuring 2Chainz)” follows at number three, while Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse (featuring Juicy J)” slips to #4. Idina Menzel’s “Let it Go” is “Frozen” at five.

Bastille’s “Pompeii” again settles for sixth, while DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” hits a new peak of #7.

Justin Timberlake’s “Not a Bad Thing” enters the top ten at number eight, besting Chris Brown’s fellow top ten newcomer “Loyal (featuring Lil Wayne and French Montana, Too $hort or Tyga).” Ninth place for the week, the Brown song bests Lorde’s “Team,” which dips to #10.
