Hit Alert: Nico & Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” Continues to Erupt

If you pegged Nico & Vinz as the next international breakout, take a bow. You were definitely not “Wrong.”

“Am I Wrong,” already a top five hit in the act’s native Norway (and in several other European countries), is rapidly conquering the United States pop market.

One of Top 40 radio’s most-added tracks every week since its launch on April 1, Nico & Vinz has taken the American airwaves–and sales charts–by storm.

That it scored another twenty five pop format pickups this week is a vivid testament to its warm reception at radio. It also serves as an indication that “Am I Wrong” will quickly ascend on Mediabase’s Top 40 airplay chart. It was already up to 4#25 for the seven days ending April 22.

As the song’s presence at radio grows, so too does its position on the iTunes Overall Single Sales chart. Barely in the top 100 at the end of last week, the song had advanced as high as #32 by the early morning hours Wednesday.
