August Alsina’s “Testimony” Leads Ingrid Michaelson in Album Sales Race

Tracking for what early indications suggest could be a 200,000-sale-week, the enduring “Frozen” soundtrack will win the weekly album sales race for an eleventh consecutive race.

With the number one position on next week’s album sales chart already claimed, the pack of new releases are solely vying to reign as the week’s best launch.

As of press time, one album appears to have a clear advantage.

Per Hits Daily Double’s latest forecasts, August Alsina’s “Testimony” is pacing for a weekly sales bow in the 50-60,000 range. That should give it the edge over Ingrid Michaelson’s “Lights Out,” which appears poised to launch in the 45-50,000 range. NEEDTOBREATHE’s “Rivers in the Wasteland” should land in the same 45-50,000 territory.

Other Hits forecasts include 30-35,000 for Jason DeRulo’s “Talk Dirty,” 10-12,000 for Breathe Carolina’s “Savages” and 8-10,000 for the “Disney Karaoke Series: Frozen” album.
