Nico & Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” Proves Right for Radio

The aggressive campaign was a success; Nico & Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” convincingly became the week’s most-added song at Top 40 radio.

According to Mediabase, the Norwegian duo earned a presence at 66 of the format’s stations this week. Pitbull’s “Wild Wild Love (featuring GRL),” the next-hottest track at radio, grabbed a considerably lesser (but still impressive) 49 adds.

Other big gainers include Shakira’s “Empire” (29), Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” (24), 5 Seconds of Summer’s “She Looks So Perfect’ (23) and Calvin Harris’ “Summer” (23). Other big gainers include Katy Tiz’ “The Big Bang” (21), Lady Gaga’s “GUY” (18), AJR’s “I’m Ready” (17) and Rixton’s “Me & My Broken Heart” (17).

First released in the spring of 2013 under the act’s Envy moniker, “Am I Wrong” reached number two in the act’s native Norway and number one in Denmark.
