Ratings Way Down for Louis CK’s “Saturday Night Live” Episode

Despite not possessing a reputation of being a massive ratings draw, Louis CK led NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” to strong ratings when he hosted November 3, 2012.

Lightning did not strike twice.

According to NBC, Saturday’s “SNL,” which featured CK as host and Sam Smith as musical guest, settled for a mere 4.0 overnight household rating. Down one-tenth from the number set by the Lena Dunham episode on March 8, the rating was down a whopping 1.0 from Louis CK’s previous appearance.

According to data from the 25 markets with local people meters, the episode also disappointed with a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Even with the Dunham number, it was down nine-tenths from the 3.0 set by the November 2012 CK episode.

“SNL” returns next week with host Anna Kendrick and musical guest Pharrell.
